BOLTON WEST have selected Julie Hilling to be Labour’s prospective parliamentary candidate. The selection meeting took place at Atherton Botanical Gardens in Atherton on Saturday February 28. Julie said: “I am honoured and privileged to have been selected by the members of Bolton West Labour Party and I look forward to campaigning with them.

“Ruth Kelly has served this area with great pride and passion for 11 years and I am determined to serve the communities of Bolton West as well as she has.
“During these tough global economic times I’m proud our Labour Government is taking bold and decisive action to win the fight for
“The opposition parties don’t have anything of substance to offer the people of Heaton, Horwich, Blackrod, Smithills, Lostock, Westhoughton or Atherton.”
